William A. Tiller, PhD, Research Director (interim)
Fellow to the American Academy for the Advancement of Science, Professor Emeritus William A. Tiller, of Stanford University’s Department of Materials Science, spent 34 years in academia after 9 years as an advisory physicist with the Westinghouse Research Laboratories. In his conventional science field he has published over 250 scientific papers, 3 books and several patents. In parallel, for the past 30 years, he has been avocationally pursuing serious experimental and theoretical study of the field of psychoenergetics which he thinks will become a very important part of tomorrow’s physics. In this new area, he has published to date, an additional 100 scientific papers and two seminal books.

We are proud and humbled to have the presence of Dr. Tiller support our team effort to bring the miracles of energy medicine to the planet. Dr. Tiller has made important contributions to the field of energy medicine over the past 50 years but is perhaps best known for his part in "What the Bleep do We Know" and "Down the Rabbit's Hole" - an introduction to the layperson of quantum physics and energy medicine.

A Man with an Eye on the Future… Part 1

Dr. Tiller comes to us with credentials extraordinaire, a quantum Physicist who has been involved in energy medicine research before most of us ever heard of it — 50 years to be exact. Visit his website at tiller.org.

Carol: Good morning Dr Bill Tiller we’re so pleased to have you as part of our team here at Energy Medicine Foundation. Truthfully, we are very humbled with your presence as our interim Director of Research.

It was just 15 years ago that I first heard of the concept of “energy medicine”, which we originally called, “vibrational medicine” and quantum physics was not often alluded to in everyday conversation as it is now. As a quantum physicist who has been researching energy medicine for 50 years, you’re the perfect one to give us a feel for what energy medicine is all about. Can you help us there?

Dr. Tiller: I think I can, I have developed what I call, the “Silver Colloid Metaphor”. So let me describe this metaphor which will put this thing into perspective. If you take a glass of water on a table top and you put some bacteria in it and then you put some silver colloid particles into the water, the bacteria die. People looked at that data and assumed that the contact between the silver particles and the bacteria, kill the bacteria because silver is know as a bactericide, as is gold and copper. So, what that led to was this contact hypothesis and that led to chemical medicine which we have today.

The assumption is that physical contact is needed between the chemicals and the bacteria. What people generally don’t know is that if you take the silver colloid particles and you put them in a fluorescent tube, or you make one of the electrodes of the fluorescent tube a silver electrode and you create a discharge in the tube then take the output light and focus it on the jar of water containing the bacteria, then you also kill the bacteria.

So what you see from this particular experiment is that, it isn’t physical contact that’s important in killing the bacteria; what is important is one or more of the electromagnetic photons in the natural emissions spectrum of silver; so that’s what’s killing the bacteria. If you pursue this line of activity you create a medicine which will be called “energy medicine”. Because you’re really talking about the photonic energy, particular energy of the photon in this spectrum of silver that somehow is the right package that when it is absorbed by the bacterium, the bacterium die one way or another.

So, now you can begin to see, for example one of the applications that’s going on today is called, “Cold Laser Treatment” for people, where you take a light emitting diode and use the appropriate voltage so that it becomes coherent and emits a beam of laser light. That can either be the infrared, it can be in the green, and it can be in the blue, depending upon your design structure. That has a huge systemic effect on the human body. The energy is very, very low compared to the kind of lasers that eat holes thru walls and steel blocks and such. So, it’s a cold laser, it has tremendous impact and it is energetic and stimulation of acupuncture meridians in the body make it systemic effectiveness throughout the body. That’s a kind of a simple example of energy medicine. You’ve moved from a whole chemical to what everybody would agree is energy that is photons.

The next step in this is to go now and modulate that laser beam with information either electromagnetic information, such as we see in our television sets that’s audio and video, or with higher dimensional mind energy intentions. When you do that, just as we’ve done with our work where we’ve embedded specific intentions into a simple electrical device, turn it on in a room where there is measuring equipment and we see that we can change the properties of materials just through the intention that is imbedded in that device. So, that of course will lead to “information medicine”.

So you can begin to see the shift from chemical, to energy, to information, and it’s certainly is the information that is in the energy that is killing the bacteria. Whether it comes by what you think is physical contact, you still have the emissions of the photons and the photons still have specific information and/or if it is in a laser beam, or whether it is in a modulated laser beam, or it is an intention. All of these contain information and the information ultimately is what is changing the bacteria.

Carol: Now my question is about the idea that the information could be programmed or imprinted in water; would you say this is the newest way to use this that?

Dr. Tiller: It’s not the newest but it’s one of the newest ways.

Carol: Is it equally effective?

Dr. Tiller: It is effective and the question is whether it’s equally effective, that takes a lot of experimentation and that hasn’t been done yet.

Carol: That’s what we want you to do as Research Director at Energy Medicine Foundation!

Check back in June for the conclusion of this interview.
